The list below concerns the big projects finalized by the association. It should be noted that the smaller projects, carried out according to the needs of the families, are not mentioned.
Rehousing of "Camp la Colle"
The main project carried out is the rehousing of "Camp la Colle" in Black River.

Thanks to this project, 42 poor families (195 people) were rehoused in small individual houses, with the possibility of expansion under the responsibility of the inhabitants.
At the end of the project, the village was renamed "Le Village du Tamarinier". It is in this village that the NGO's office is located.

Today, the association provides follow-up as well as moral and social support to these 42 families. Indeed, rehousing alone is not enough. The Tamarind Bridge's objective is to empower the inhabitants so that they become completely autonomous.

After School Care
In 2017, After School Care (ASC) began with the educational project of welcoming children living in one of the villages of Pont du Tamarinier for tutoring, every day after school. In the beginning, the association relied on volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the tutoring. Later, Le Pont du Tamarinier decided to hire educators to continue the project. The goal is to allow a more regular follow-up of each child participating in the CSA.
In addition, the association organizes educational outings during the children's vacations as well as creative activities in parallel with the CSA.
Embellissement
The association has organized several days of beautification of the village of Tamarinier as well as days of mutual aid between the inhabitants of the village, the staff and the volunteers
Motilakaz

This project was born from a citizen's initiative in the Black River region. It was then assigned to Le Pont Du tamarinier. The goal is, with the help of the inhabitants of the targeted area - Lee-Moyo -, to involve everyone financially, by fundraising or with a helping hand, in order to make the life of this village easier until the rehousing.
Upgrading
When families grow, it becomes necessary to do the same with their house. This is why the association helps families who wish to build a second floor or want to improve another place of the house.
Accompagnement
The people living in Carré d'As and Lee-Moyo are currently not rehoused in decent housing but live in houses made of metal sheets. This requires an important support when the rainy season arrives. Indeed, we help the families to consolidate their house to avoid any risk of destruction of the housing. We also try to provide them with the necessary sanitary facilities and drinking water to improve their living conditions while waiting to be rehoused.
Projets sourires
Projects in progress
Rehousing of the district of "Carré d'As" à Rivière Noire
The Smiles projects aim to obtain material for the families but also to give them the financial aid necessary for their needs or to financially support the young students for their training. Recently, we helped financially one of our beneficiaries, who was very ill, to receive the operation he needed to improve his living condition.
